Houses and cars were damaged as a result of shelling in Odesa: the number of injured increased to 10

At night, Odesa was subjected to a combined attack by the Russian army. A woman died, 10 people were injured, including a child.

As reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of November 15, starting at 21:00 on Thursday, the enemy launched a combined attack on Odesa.

In particular, the Russians launched two X-59/69 guided air missiles from the Black Sea and 29 Shahed-type attack UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF) and temporarily occupied Crimea regions. As of 08:30, one X-59/69 guided air missile and 25 drones were downed. The vast majority of air targets were shot down in Odesa.

According to the press service of the Odesa regional prosecutor's office, a 35-year-old woman, a resident of a five-story apartment building in a residential area of the city, died as a result of the attack in Odesa. 10 people were injured, 8 of them were taken to the hospital with injuries of varying severity. A child is among the wounded.

«9 multi-story buildings, educational institutions, service station premises, a church, commercial facilities, main heat supply pipeline, private garages and more than 40 vehicles were damaged. The enemy also targeted Odesa's port infrastructure,» the message reads.

The law enforcement officers have started an investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war. The survey is ongoing, a complete list of destruction and damage is being established.

According to the mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, the woman who died was at home: the bed she was sleeping on was near the window. In general, the destruction and fires that occurred as a result of the Russian attack were recorded in seven places in the city. As the mayor noted, utility workers worked throughout the night and managed to restore the pipeline, which was damaged in several places. It is planned that heating will be restored in more than 200 residential buildings, medical, educational, etc. institutions within a few hours.

The head of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council, Olena Buinevych, clarified that two schools and three kindergartens were damaged — broken windows, frames, etc.

As a result of the shelling, 25 garages, 2 cars and 9 trucks, a market (10 stalls and 2 shops), 6 private residential buildings, of which 2 were destroyed, and a gas station were damaged.
