Today, December 16, law enforcement officers, together with volunteers from the Save Ukraine organization, evacuated a 49-year-old woman and her 17-year-old son from Komyshany in the Kherson region.

According to the Kherson Region National Police, the family sought help because their area was suffering daily from Russian artillery shelling and drone strikes. Their home had been without electricity, water, and gas for several days.

Police officers and volunteers took the family to safety in an armored vehicle. The mother and son then traveled to Kyiv, where they will receive the necessary assistance.

The Kherson Region Police urges residents of dangerous settlements not to delay evacuation. If you need help, please contact the 102 hotline, territorial police departments, local government bodies or volunteers. Information about evacuation can also be obtained by calling the Kherson Regional Emergency Management Agency hotline: 0800 33 09 51.

Earlier, six children were successfully returned to Ukraine from the temporarily occupied territories.
