49,000 people evacuated from communities under constant shelling in Kherson region over two years

Over the past two years, almost 49,000 people have been evacuated from settlements in Kherson Oblast that are constantly shelled by Russian troops.

Yaroslav Shanko, deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said this during a briefing.

According to him, among the evacuees are about 6,700 children and 475 people with limited mobility.

«If you live in a community that is constantly under fire from Russian troops, make a choice in favour of evacuation. Save yourself and your loved ones. We are ready to help you with departure and accommodation», said the deputy head of the region.

He noted that anyone wishing to evacuate can contact the regional contact centre: 0800-101-102 or 0800-33-09-51.
