Following this morning’s attack by Russian drones on the energy infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region, power has been restored to 90% of consumers. The plan is to fully restore power to all customers within one to two hours.

This was announced by Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the Yedyni Novyny telethon.

As is known, on the morning of 16 April, Russian troops attacked the energy sector in the Mykolaiv region, leaving Mykolaiv and settlements in the Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts without power.

«Regarding the situation this morning, several enemy attacks were recorded on Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv region. One of them reached its target and struck a critical infrastructure facility. However, power companies have now restored electricity to 90% of consumers, and I hope that all customers will be fully reconnected in the near future. In other words, the situation is under control; nothing critical has happened. In the Mykolaiv region, around 300,000 customers were temporarily without power, including in Kherson. Currently, 90% of consumers already have electricity,» said Vitalii Kim.

According to him, they plan to restore 100% of the power supply within one to two hours.

As a reminder, on the morning of 16 April, the Russians struck the Mykolaiv region with drones and missiles.

In Novyi Buh, Bashtanka district, a family was injured: a 36-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and their 8-year-old son. The child suffered an acute stress reaction. All three were taken to hospital; by the morning, their condition was stable. Eight private homes in the town were also damaged.

In the Pervomaiskyi district, a private house, a garage and a power line were damaged by falling debris. Three settlements were left without power, but the electricity supply was restored by 00:40.

In the Mykolaiv district, the Russians attacked the Kutsurub community with an FPV drone and shelled it with artillery. In the village of Dmytrivka, two houses, a farm building and a garage were damaged. Also, in the Halytsynove community, an industrial infrastructure facility was struck by a Molniia drone. No one was injured.
