43 children have died on the water in Ukraine since the beginning of the year

More than 40 children died in reservoirs in different regions of Ukraine.

In particular, on June 25 in Transcarpathia, an 8-year-old boy and his 9-year-old friend left the house for a walk in the afternoon and did not return. To search for children, rescuers, policemen, dog handlers with dogs were involved. During the survey of the territory, the boys' belongings were found on the shore of the lake in the village of Nove Davydkovo. On the morning of June 26, divers of the State Emergency Service discovered the body of one of the boys, and later the body of another.

Another tragic incident happened on Tuesday on the Desna River in Chernihiv Oblast. A 12-year-old girl drowned there, who, without adult supervision, was swimming with her friends in a place not equipped for this purpose.

«Parents, please carefully monitor children's leisure activities and constantly remind them of safety rules. After all, their violation can cost lives,» the message says.
