Romanian border guards discovered the body of a man who tried to cross the border on their bank of the Tisza River.

This is reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

The deceased was a middle-aged man with signs of prolonged stay in the water. No documents were found with him, so measures are now being taken to establish the identity of the drowning man.

The press service added that since the beginning of the year, the bodies of seven men who tried to illegally cross the Tisza were discovered near the Mukachevo border post on both sides of the river section of the border.

In general, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine, this is already the twenty-fifth case of discovery of a male body on the river section of the border.

«Once again, we urge all those willing to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine not to risk their lives and health. The depth of the Tisza River in some places reaches 5 meters in depth and 80 meters in width,» the informants added.
