Poland raised aviation because of the Russian missile attack on Ukraine

Poland raised fighter jets in the air in connection with Russian missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine.

This is reported by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.

The planes were lifted into the sky early in the morning on May 8. The command warned that people can hear noise, in particular in the south-eastern part of the country, which is connected with the take-off of Polish and allied fighters.

«Tonight, intensive activity of the long-range aviation of the Russian Federation is observed, connected with the launch of missile strikes on objects located on the territory of Ukraine. All necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace have been activated,» the message reads.

We will remind you that on the night of May 8, the Russian army attacked the Ukrainian energy industry.
