country in Central Europe bordering Ukraine

Poland is a country in Central Europe, a neighbor of Ukraine and a member of the European Union and NATO. In September 2026, Warsaw promised Ukraine interceptor missiles for Patriot systems in a 50 million euro aid package and offered to host production of such missiles. The two countries are discussing a swap of old Polish MiG-29 fighters for Ukrainian drones. On July 30, 2026, a Russian Kh-101 missile fell in the Lublin Voivodeship, and in September Poland announced it would install more than a thousand sirens along its border with Ukraine. In summer 2026, Polish President Karol Nawrocki decided to strip Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle.

MykVisti covers Polish military aid, security on the border, the lives of Ukrainians in Poland and help from Polish doctors for people from Mykolaiv region.
