Law enforcement officers are investigating the facts of the shelling of Ochakiv by the Russian army on April 23.

As reported by the prosecutor's office of the Mykolaiv region, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted on the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on April 23, at night and in the morning, the Russians fired at Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region. As a result of the shelling, a 39-year-old man was wounded. Residential buildings, buildings, cars and power lines were damaged.

In addition, the wreckage of the downed Shahed drone damaged a trade pavilion with an area of 350 square meters, a private house and an outbuilding.

«Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,» the law enforcement officers emphasized.

We will remind, on April 22, the Russian occupying forces once again shelled the territory of the Mykolaiv region. Educational institutions and residential buildings were damaged.
