The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration is to purchase 10,000 New Year’s gifts — a tender has been announced for ₴1.4 million

The Department of Youth and Sport of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration intends to purchase 10,000 New Year’s gifts for children. To this end, a tender has been announced with an estimated value of 1.41 million hryvnias.

The information has been published on the Prozorro public procurement system.

The purchase of the gifts is being funded from the local budget. Bids are being accepted until 19 November.

The department is ordering 10,000 gifts, which must be delivered by 6 December inclusive.

The technical specifications set out the requirements. Each gift must weigh at least 400 grams. Around 70 per cent must consist of sweets coated in chocolate or milk chocolate, including at least six different types of fillings. No more than 13 per cent of the gift may consist of uncoated sweets, biscuits or wafers. A further 17 per cent must consist of toffee and jelly sweets.

The quality of the sweets must be confirmed by documentation. The department also notes that the gift packaging must be made of cardboard featuring a «New Year’s design, complemented by a 3D game for children». Suppliers must provide photographs of the packaging.

It was previously reported that the Department of Labour and Social Protection of the Mykolaiv City Council had signed a contract for social support during inclusive education, despite comments from the State Audit Service. This is already the third contract concluded with the same contractor — the NGO «Ukrainian Foundation for Care and Health». The previous two agreements were terminated. However, the department considers the auditors’ observations regarding the termination of the third agreement to be unfounded.
