From Soborna to 8 Prychal: a bicycle race took place in Mykolaiv with the participation of the Danish ambassador

On Saturday, September 9, a bicycle race was held on Cathedral Square in Mykolaiv on the occasion of City Day and Denmark Days.

«NikVesti» informs about it.

The people of Mykolaiv took part in the bike ride together with the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, the head of Mykolaiv OVA Vitaly Kim, as well as a delegation from Denmark led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen.

Mayor Oleksandr Sienkovych noted that Denmark is a partner that not only provides military support to Ukraine, but also helps Mykolaiv in every way. So it is symbolic that the celebration of Denmark Days fell on the city's birthday.

The Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark, Ole Egberg Mikkelsen, noted that this cycling race was held in honor of the future victory and the honor of the Danish-Nikolaev partnership aimed at rebuilding the city.

— Danes and Ukrainians have a common passion for bicycles. That is why so many of us gathered. I think that a joint bike ride is the best way to celebrate not only Mykolaiv's birthday, but also Danish-Mykolaiv friendship, the Ambassador said.

Oleksandr Sienkovych thanked Denmark for its support and solidarity with Ukraine and presented Ole Egberg Mikkelsen with an honorary award «For meritorious services to the city of Mykolaiv».

We will remind that also on Saturday, September 9, the Mayor's Cup football championship was held at the Central Stadium of Mykolaiv to the 234th anniversary of the city's founding.
