The Vereshchahin Museum in Mykolaiv celebrated the 115th anniversary of the Ukrainian artist Mariia Prymachenko

On January 11, the Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum named after Vasyl Vereshchagin held an event on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian People's Artist Mariia Prymachenko.
The host of the event, Liubov Zapisochna, told the visitors the story of the artist's life and presented the works of Mariia Prymachenko, which are stored in the museum, writes NikVesti.
Mariia Prymachenko is a Ukrainian artist who worked in the genre of «naive art», which is also called folk art. She is a laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine. Maria Prymachenko painted more than 800 paintings during her lifetime.
At the event marking the anniversary of the artist's birth, the Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum named after Vasyl Vereshchahin also presented the works of Mykolaiv artists based on the works of Mariia Prymachenko.
