Compliance with the temperature regime: the police of the Mykolaiv region will check trucks throughout the region next year

The police of the Mykolaiv region promised that next year, during the temperature regime, they will not stop trucks at the entrance to the city, but will work point by point, choosing optimal places for inspections throughout the region.

This was announced by the Deputy Chief of the Main Department of the National Police in the Mykolaiv Region, Vitalii Danila, during the session of the City Council, NikVesti reports.

During the meeting, deputy Dmytro Sichko asked the police to monitor the implementation of the city council's decision to restrict the movement of vans in the city during the heat of the day. He emphasized that due to the loss of the military personal income tax, the city government will not be able to allocate funds for the replacement of asphalt destroyed by trucks.

«In fact, all the roads of this city, which we support as the city council, are financed by taxpayers' money. As a transit city, we have a large influx of heavy-duty, large-sized vehicles that destroy the asphalt, pushing it somewhere. Especially when there is a temperature regime. I have a request to the police representatives that you actively help the city in this direction, so that during the day when the temperature regime is in effect, the freight transport will stand in front of the entrance to the city, and at night it will enter, and in this way, it would not destroy the asphalt. Because we cannot constantly transfer asphalt, especially considering that a large amount of the budget was allocated to defense,» said the deputy.

Vitalii Danila, deputy head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region, said that next year the law enforcement officers will revise the system of working with vehicles that violate the rules of the temperature regime.

«When the decision on the temperature regime is made next year, we will work together with the patrol police throughout the region on a point-by-point basis, and not gather all the trucks near Mykolaiv. I think that this issue will be under special control and we will work it out,» said Vitalii Danila.

As you know, on July 12, the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council decided to ban the movement of trucks on the roads of Mykolaiv due to the heat during the day. However, the access mode for entering the city never worked.

At that time, the head of the Patrol Police Department in the Mykolaiv Region, Vitalii Danila, said that during the daytime heat, trucks cannot be left at the entrance to the city, in particular, due to the danger of shelling and the lack of parking spaces for trucks.

In addition, in Mykolaiv, they are preparing to start the construction of a bypass road and a bridge over the Southern Bug.
