Journalists of The Times published four points of the victory plan that Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to present to US President Joe Biden. However, the President's Office stated that they did not inform journalists of this information.
This was reported by Suspilne with reference to its own sources in the President's Office.
The President's Office emphasized that The Times journalists were not briefed on the victory plan.
It is noted that there are five points in the peace plan. The implementation of the first four is planned for the period from October to December, and the implementation of the fifth — after the war. The details of the peace plan published in the publication are generalizations of the authors.
«The main thing about the victory plan is that it is complex, all points in it are interconnected, it is important to implement them together, everything in the complex that is stated there,» the President's Office reports.
The Times writes that Zelenskyy's victory plan involves providing Ukraine with long-term guarantees of support from the West. At the same time, the guarantees should be such that they cannot be waived by the new US administration in the event of Donald Trump's potential election victory.
The main point is the request for security guarantees from the West, similar to a mutual defense pact within NATO membership. It talks about supporting Ukraine's continued invasion of the Russian Federation, in particular, the Kursk region, in order to provide a territorial trump card for negotiations.
It also contains a request to provide Ukraine with «specific» modern weapons. In addition, the plan contains a clause on international financial assistance to rebuild the economy of Ukraine, destroyed by the invasion of Russia.
We will remind you that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the readiness of the Ukrainian victory plan. He said this in an evening video message.
