The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected the offer to meet with the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
This was reported by the French publication AFP with reference to a source in the Office of the President of Ukraine.
As noted, this decision was made due to Guterres' trip to Russia, where he participated in events with representatives of the BRICS countries.
In addition, the UN Secretary General held a bilateral meeting with Putin. After the meeting, the statement noted that Guterres stressed to Putin that Russia's invasion of Ukraine violates international law.
We will remind that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Israel Katz, said that Antonio Guterres should resign from the post of UN Secretary General.
