The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Russian Federation's information about the encirclement of Ukrainian military personnel in the Kursk region is false.

He announced this on social networks.

Oleksandr Syrsky notes that this is disinformation that does not reflect the real situation.

«Ukrainian troops continue active operations in the Kursk direction, destroying the enemy's combat potential for the third month in a row. Despite the intense pressure of the enemy in this direction, the occupiers are suffering significant losses in personnel and military equipment,» writes the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.

According to his data, from August 8 to the present, Russian troops have lost 17,819 soldiers on this part of the front (6,662 — dead, 10,446 — sanitary losses, 711 — captured Russians).

Losses of Russian troops in weapons and military equipment amount to:

  • 45 tanks;
  • 256 combat armored vehicles;
  • 565 units of automotive equipment;
  • 99 artillery systems;
  • 5 rocket salvo systems.

«I thank the Ukrainian soldiers for the stability, endurance and true courage that you show to our primordial treacherous enemy in all sections and directions of the front!» he added.
