Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine will not continue the transit of Russian gas.

He stated this during a press conference in Brussels on December 19.

Zelensky emphasized that any country that receives cheap resources from Russia becomes dependent on it.

«Any country that receives something cheap from Russia becomes dependent on it. This is their policy. We will not continue the transit of Russian gas. We will not provide an opportunity to earn additional billions on our blood. When Slovakia raised this issue today and said that it is losing money, it is shameful. Ukraine is losing people», said the president.

He also added that the possibility of transit can only be considered if it concerns gas from another country.

«We don't want to play around when it's another country, it receives gas from Russia, and then transits it as if it were its own gas. This is the same as continuing to earn money from this war and transfer money to Russia»,» he is sure.

It was previously reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the idea of peacekeepers in Ukraine in Brussels.
