Zelenskyy on a visit to Turkey: the president attended the opening of the new Ukrainian embassy

On Tuesday, 18 February, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on a visit to Turkey. He has already visited the Ukrainian Embassy and met with the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities.

Also, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska attended the opening ceremony of the newly built complex of buildings of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Turkey.

During the meetings with the Turkish side, the parties will consider the strategic partnership between Turkey and Ukraine and discuss steps to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries. A joint press conference is planned following the meetings.

As a reminder, on 18 February, representatives of the United States and Russia are meeting in Riyadh to discuss the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian side will not be represented at this meeting.
