Illustrative photo: Office of the PresidentAt a meeting of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, so-called «resilience plans» were approved for all regions and regional centres of Ukraine. Kyiv was the exception — the capital was given additional time to prepare the relevant documents.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, during the meeting, reports from representatives of all regions and major cities were heard. The experience gained this winter will form the basis for further decisions, in particular regarding the strengthening of critical infrastructure, logistics and key energy facilities, as well as the restoration of facilities damaged by Russian attacks and the expansion of energy capacities.
The President noted that Kyiv has not yet completed the preparation of the necessary documents.
«As of today, Kyiv was not ready, just like it was not ready for this winter. We need to prepare and complete every task before the next winter. Every city and every Ukrainian community must be ready for any scenario next winter and for providing real support to people,» he added.
The government, the Ministry of Defence and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received appropriate instructions to help the regions prepare for the next heating season.
We would like to remind you that in Mykolaiv, individual heating stations are planned to be equipped with batteries, inverters and generators to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages.
