President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not rule out personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers in the near future. These issues are already being discussed.
This was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with journalists, the «UP» publication reports.
When asked whether the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal, will be dismissed, he said that there may be changes in the government, but he did not specify which ones.
«As for government changes, if they happen, if they happen, you will definitely know about it. We cannot simply talk about replacing the prime minister. This suggests that there may be changes in the government. They probably can be. We are engaged in this process,» the president said.
He also added: «We are talking with some ministers about certain changes.»
It will be recalled that on April 15, the president dismissed Oleksii Soloviov, Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
We will also remind you that on March 30, Volodymyr Zelenskyy fired four freelance advisers and two more authorized employees.
Also, the head of state dismissed Olena Verbytska, who worked as the commissioner for ensuring the rights of defenders since October 2021. Since March of the same year, Verbytska headed the Advisory Council on Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Persons Who Participated in the Defense of Ukraine.
On February 8, Valery Zaluzhnyi was dismissed from the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the head of the committee, thanked him for two years of protecting Ukraine and offered to «continue to be together in the team of the Ukrainian state.»
Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi was appointed the new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
On February 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy replaced the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On June 24, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had decided to replace the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yurii Sodol.
