The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, handed over to EU leaders his «peace plan» for the end of Russia's war against Ukraine.

This was announced by the political director of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Balazs Orban, in an interview with the Hungarian pro-government newspaper Magyar Nemzet.

«There are two belligerents, Ukraine and Russia, and three or four large or medium powers that can play a decisive role as mediators. These are the United States, Europe, China, as well as, for example, Turkey, which helped to reach so far only a partial agreement on the Black Sea grain corridors,» he said.

Balazs Orbán said that Ukraine and Russia are very determined to fight, and «without external mediators, unfortunately, very rough destruction awaits us in the coming months.»

«The Prime Minister wrote to the leaders of the European Council about the negotiations, the experience of the first phase of the peacekeeping mission and the Hungarian proposals. If Europe wants peace and wants to have a decisive voice in settling the war and stopping the bloodshed, it must design and implement a change of direction now,» he said.

Balazs Orbán emphasized that his country can play a serious role in mediation.

«Today we are the only ones who can negotiate with all parties,» the politician added.

We will remind, on July 8, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban arrived in the capital of China, Beijing.

Before that, on July 5, he visited Moscow within the framework of bilateral relations between Hungary and Russia. According to him, this visit is taking place within the framework of a «peacekeeping mission».
