Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, after a meeting with US presidential candidate Donald Trump, said that if he wins, he «will not give a penny» to protect Ukraine from Russian invasion.
The Hungarian prime minister also told Híradó, the main news program of the Hungarian public broadcaster M1, how the US respects Hungary, while advising Washington to increase its investment in Budapest to compete with China.
He stated that today the American government, the leadership of the European Union, as well as the leaders of the largest European states are «pro-war». Instead, according to him, Donald Trump, like Hungary, advocates «peace».
The head of the Hungarian government says that Trump «will not give a penny to the war» if he wins.
«If America does not give money, the Europeans themselves will not be able to finance this war, and then the war will end,» Viktor Orban said.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, Donald Trump «was the first president in a long time» during whose term no war started.
«He is a man of peace, and he does not hide his opinion even now, he clearly said that his goal is to put peace in the Russian-Ukrainian war, we also do not want anything,» the prime minister emphasized.
At the same time, he called on Europe to rearm, adding that Hungarians should be able to defend their country.
In addition, the prime minister told how Hungary is respected in the USA, as it is, according to him, the safest country in Europe. He emphasized that Hungary also provides a «positive example» for American conservatives in the field of migration and family policy.
«The fact that Hungary stands up for family values while everyone is talking LGBTQ nonsense throughout Western Europe, and that family values are protected by the constitution, this causes respect in America,» Viktor Orban explained.
He also said that Chinese and American investments in Hungary are «balanced», but, according to him, if the US «wants to keep up with China», it needs to invest more.
It will be recalled that during the rally, former US President Donald Trump made a complimentary statement to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, calling the Hungarian Prime Minister a «great man» and a «great leader in Europe».
