Ukraine can use weapons provided by Germany to defend against Russian attacks in the border area around Kharkiv.

This was stated by the representative of the German government, Steffen Hebestreit, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to Western media.

According to him, the decision was based on the weeks during which Ukraine was subjected to attacks, «especially in the Kharkiv region, from positions located directly near the Russian border."

It will be recalled that in April, Germany announced the urgent transfer of one Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex to Ukraine.
