Commemoration of fallen soldiers in the Mykolayiv region

We will remind, in October 2023, a memorial stele was installed in Yuzhnoukrainsk on the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery in memory of the fallen soldiers.

It should be noted that the Alley of memory of the defenders who died defending the integrity and independence of Ukraine is also planned to be created in Mykolaiv.

Later, Mykolaiv city mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych announced that the Mykolaiv city council has already decided on the place where the Alley of memory of the defenders of Ukraine will be built. It is planned to be placed on the Kherson highway, opposite the Mykolaiv Zoo.

At the same time, in Pervomaisk, the families of the victims proposed to create an Alley of Glory in the center of the city.

Also, earlier, the head of the Bashtanka City Council Oleksandr Berehovyi noted that a new cemetery will be built in Bashtanka, where a separate sector will be set aside for the burial of military personnel.

In addition, in 2023, 600,000 hryvnias were allocated from the budget of Mykolaiv for the burial of dead soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And for the families of the fallen soldiers who decided to bury them in the military sector of the cemetery in Matviivka, it was planned to install the same type of tombstones with budget funds.
