In turn, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba emphasized that today the preservation of aviation infrastructure is a strategic task.

«This is the first expert discussion, which we expect will help move forward in the issue of creating conditions for opening the airspace. In times of war, it is a strategic challenge for us to preserve aviation infrastructure and skilled personnel so that when the time comes, we can resume civilian flights as quickly as possible. It is clear that this is a very complex issue, both from a security point of view, and from the point of view of interaction with all parties involved. That is why we support platforms when we develop a joint plan together with foreign industry regulators, airlines, insurance companies, airports, and the military,» Kuleba emphasized.

The event was held with the support of the US Embassy, together with the State Aviation Service, Ukraerorukh, the Air Force Command and the management of international airports. In total, about a hundred representatives of the aviation industry were present, including regulators from the EU, Great Britain and the USA, as well as heads of airlines, insurance, leasing companies and aircraft manufacturers.

We will remind you that the Mykolaiv Regional Council plans to start work on the restoration of the airport, which was destroyed at the beginning of the Russian invasion.
