It is planned to allocate one million hryvnias from the budget of Mykolaiv for the purchase of a building where a prosthesis center for the Ukrainian military will be installed.

This was discussed at the meeting of the city council commission on housing and communal services on November 26, NikVesti writes.

It is a two-story building next to city hospital №4, on the basis of which they plan to open a prosthetics center. For this purpose, the German company Horus Prosthetics GmbH has already provided the city with equipment and technology for manufacturing prostheses, the director of the Department of Economy, Tetiana Shulichenko, said.

«The area is 135.9 square meters. The premises are equipped with all amenities: water supply, sewage, electricity, heating. Work on the insulation of the building was also carried out outside. The Department of Capital Construction conducted an inspection of this building. There were no internal or external comments on the condition of the building. The price offered by the owner for today is 999 thousand 600 hryvnias. Therefore, we believe that this purchase is very beneficial for the city in the sense that it is located directly on the territory of the hospital, said Tetiana Dmytrova, deputy head of the municipal property department of the city council.

As a result of the voting, the members of the Commission on Housing and Communal Affairs supported this draft decision.

Specialists of the company «Horus Prosthetics GmbH», which specializes in the manufacture of prostheses for the lower limbs, use a technique with artificial intelligence, thanks to which prostheses are made in 90-120 minutes and repeat anatomical parameters, the city council reported earlier. And as of August 8, 2024, the city council's health care department was already working on forming a patient registry.
