The 2023/24 heating season in Mykolaiv is planned to start on November 1, but if the temperatures are below normal, heat can be supplied to residents' homes earlier.
This was reported by JSC «Mykolaivoblteploenergo» director Mykola Lohvinov on the MART TV channel.
He reminded that the decision to turn on the batteries is made by local authorities when the average daily temperature remains at +8 degrees for at least three days.
— All our boiler rooms are ready for the heating season, all necessary routine work has been completed. Looking at the weather forecast, it will be in early November. This is the projected start date of the heating season in Mykolaiv. But this is according to the weather forecast for today, if the weather worsens earlier, then we will launch earlier. We have already started preparing for the supply of heat and from October 1 we started filling our networks with chemical water treatment for that purpose, — Mykola Lohvinov said.
Earlier, the «Mykolaivvoblteploenergo» utility company warned that the heating season may not start in October, as previously planned. At the same time, the Mykolayiv region is 86% ready for the upcoming heating season.
It is also known that the residents of Mykolaiv owe 246 million hryvnias to «Oblteploenergo», of which 89 million hryvnias is a debt for the past heating season. The company reported that 455 million hryvnias will be needed to repay the debt between the approved and economically justified tariff.
We will also remind that according to the mayor of the city Oleksandr Sienkevych, the previous heating season was not easy, but we managed to cope with all emergency situations.
