The managing company «City for the People» explained that the residents of the high-rise building on 16 Heroiv Ukrainy Avenue, are clogging the already «old and worn-out» pipes with plastic and wet napkins.

The company gave such an answer to «NikVesti» after the publication of the complaint of the residents of the high-rise building.

It will be recalled that the residents of the building complained that four apartments on the first floor have been flooded with sewage for a week. They also said that the sewage system in the basement of the house had rotted, so there were «puddles of sewage».

«CFP» noted that the building has old pipes that cannot be replaced due to the residents' debt to the company in the amount of over 133,000 hryvnias. They explained that the execution of current repairs directly depends on the amount of funds accumulated in the house account. However, according to experts, «CFP» still partially replaces individual emergency sections of the pipeline in the building.

«In addition to the fact that the pipes are old and worn, the situation is worsened by the improper use of the sewage system by residents. The company replaces individual sections of the pipeline in an emergency. However, to solve the problem as a whole, it is necessary to completely replace the sunbed in the basement. As of October 1, 2023, there is an arrears for the payment of the management service in the amount of 133,788,77 hryvnias with a monthly charge of 14,991,90 hryvnias for this building. This is a large amount, which indicates that the co-owners have been paying this for a management service for a long time», — the company said.

The company explained that in this case, residents of high-rise buildings can do to avoid further problems with sewage, since not all residents today have the opportunity to repay the debt.

At that time, the company «City for People» responded to the complaints of Mykolaiv residents about the leaking sewage system. «CFP» noted that such a situation has arisen due to the fact that the residents of the high-rise building are clogging the sewer wells. Cleaning of the system is carried out by the «Mykolaivvodokanal» utility company.

Also in Mykolaiv, the owners of private garages on Hospitalnaya Street complain about the regular leakage of sewage from overcrowded manholes. Every day around 9 a.m., water with impurities and feminine hygiene products from the City Hospital is discharged from the manholes in the garages No. 1, which is located nearby.

In addition, residents of the Ternivka micro-district recently complained about sanitation vehicles that pour sewage into landings and sewer hatches, instead of the places officially designated for this purpose.

Earlier, in Novyy Buh, local residents were outraged by the inaction of the authorities and the utility company «Dobrobut», which still have not identified an official place for sewage disposal. Locals noticed how sanitation vehicles poured smelly waste into the manhole of a non-working sewage network near the city council.
