«The sappers said to plaster»: residents of Maksymivka in the Mykolaiv region live with an unexploded shell under their house

In the village of Maksymivka, Pervomaisk UTC, Mykolaiv region, local residents live with an unexploded shell under the foundation of their house.

The owner of the house, Olena, told NikVesti about this.

After the deoccupation of Maksymivka, sappers entered the village. At the same time, Olena turned to specialists for help, but they did not take any risks and advised the woman to leave the projectile in place.

— They said, plaster him and live, they won't touch him, and nothing will happen to him. Then there were rains, a strong swamp, and he went very deep, the guys couldn't reach him, — says the woman.

In addition, the demining situation in Maksymivka is critical today. A year after liberation from the Russian occupiers, the village was demined by only 40%.

Residents of Maksymivka cannot return home because the village is almost completely destroyed. Local residents cannot count on assistance under the «eVidnovlennia» program due to the lack of documents confirming ownership of the house.
