«I know two sides of a coin,» Kim has an ambiguous attitude to «money for the Armed Forces» rallies

The head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim commented on the actions in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which took place in Mykolayiv and in many cities of Ukraine. He believes that the situation is ambiguous and that, in addition to the army, funds should be spent on «a certain number of tasks».

He told about this on the air of «News Factory».

Commenting on the citizens' actions, where they demanded that money from the budget be directed exclusively to help the Armed Forces, Vitalii Kim noted that part of the money should still be spent on ensuring a normal life for people living in populated areas.

«I know two sides of a coin in this situation. The fact is that it is necessary to give money to the Armed Forces, it is necessary for people and journalists to monitor the authorities so that they do not forget. But at the same time, a certain necessary number of things must be done so that the area does not turn into a garbage dump. Then people will say: «Why are you needed here, if there is a garbage dump in the region. Go to war, you are not in charge here. The situation is ambiguous with a bias in the direction that it is really not necessary to spend on formal, non-emergency, non-infrastructural things, but to spend on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, not all officials follow this plan,» Vitalii Kim believes.

Also, according to him, the problem now is not the lack of money for the Armed Forces, but the lack of people at the front.

«We want to live in warmth, for delivery to work, to have quality food, and at the same time we want the state to switch to military lines and not spend anything anywhere. These are mutually exclusive things. We want change, but who wants to change? No one. Those who go to these pickets are lonely people who are really hurting, who have relatives at the front, who have lost patience, who have lost someone. I understand them perfectly. They just don't understand how else to get into power to change it. But the question is not about those 40 people who left, but about millions of people who are in the region and continue to live. This is a big problem in fact,» says the head of RMA.

We remind you that on December 10, a rally was held in Mykolaiv at the intersection of Tsentralnyi Avenue and Mala Morska Street. Among the protesters are the relatives of captured Mykolaiv soldiers, including defenders of «Azovstal».

We remind, on November 4, residents of Mykolaiv joined the action in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Even earlier, on October 28, in Mykolaiv, before the All-Ukrainian Day of Support for the Army, a rally was already held with the demand to direct money from the city budget not to roads and improvements, but to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As you know, the Mykolaiv City Council has already allocated about 700 million hryvnias to the needs of the Defense Forces.

It was also reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, about 30 million hryvnias have been sent from the budgets of the Bashtan district of the Mykolaiv region for various needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
