Mykolaiv became the only Ukrainian city that received new trolleybuses from international organizations last year

Updated at 3:40 p.m.: Added information on the assistance of international partners in providing Mykolaiv with trolleybuses and buses from the mayor's report on the results of 2023.
In 2023, Ukrainian cities received 52 units of trolleybuses, of which 28 were new and 24 were used.
Last year, Mykolaiv received seven new Dnipro T203 trolleybuses from international financial organizations, Alltransua statistics show.
Other cities bought trolleybuses with local funds. For example, Vinnytsia and Chernivtsi purchased 28 units of transport of the brewery manufacturer «Politehnoservice» in bodies of the Turkish manufacturer AKIA.
At the same time, Mykolaiv received 13 buses from international partners in 2023, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said during his press conference on the results of 2023, NikVesti reports.
«During 2023, Mykolaiv received 13 buses from international partners. The EBRD project for the delivery of trolleybuses was renewed: 2023 — the city received 7 new trolleybuses, all of them are already running on the routes,» the mayor said.
He clarified that he received the Mykolaiv buses from: Association «Narbonne-Ukraine» (one Irisbus); the Norwegian city of Kristiansand (six Volvos); from the German company Sankt Augustin and Friends hilft eV (three Mercedes-Benz), as well as from the Czech Republic (three Irisbus Crossway).
Oleksandr Sienkovych added that according to the restored EBRD project, the city is waiting for 30 trolleybuses with autonomous travel of up to 20 kilometers in 2024.
In addition, a UNOPS and Danish government project has been launched, according to which Mykolaiv will receive 12 new ZAZ buses, four of which arrived in December.
We remind you that Mykolaiv will receive 30 new trolleybuses with autonomous travel of up to 20 kilometers. They are planned to be purchased with funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
