The Court of Appeal left behind bars a resident of the Mykolaiv Oblast who worked in the occupation administration

The appellate court upheld the sentence of a resident of the Mykolayiv region, who was sentenced to 6 years in prison for collaborationism.

This was reported in the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

By the verdict of the court of first instance, the resident of Snihurivka was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment. Also, she is deprived of the right to hold positions in bodies of state power, state administration, local self-government and in bodies providing public services for a period of 15 years.

The court proved that the woman voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation authorities during the occupation of Snihurivka by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. In August 2022, she was appointed to the position of chief accountant of the so-called «military-civilian administration of Snihurivka and Snihurivka district of Kherson region».

Her responsibilities included control and organization of the work of the accounting department of the occupation administration, calculation of wages and disbursement of funds to employees of the occupation authorities, transfer of reporting of the work of her department regarding the use of funds.

The convict is in custody. The court verdict entered into legal force.

We will remind you that a resident of Snihurivka, who helped the occupiers sell auto parts stolen from the locals, will be tried in Mykolaiv Oblast.

It was also reported that a 44-year-old resident of the city of Snihurivka, Bashtanka district, was notified in absentia of suspicion of collaborative activity (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Another resident of Snihurivka, who cooperated with the occupiers during the occupation, tried to bribe law enforcement officers in the amount of a thousand dollars in order to «establish contact with them» and soften the course of the investigation.
