The agricultural lands of the Mykolaiv region, which were flooded as a result of the Russians undermining the Kakhovska HPP dam, will be used in the 2024 sowing company.

Olena Piskun, director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Mykolaiv Oblast, noted that the soil does not contain any dangerous impurities and is subject to sowing.

«On behalf of the government, a soil analysis was conducted, the areas were recognized as suitable, they did not contain any impurities that would prevent agricultural producers from carrying out their activities. They will be involved in the sowing campaign of 2024,» said the director of the department.

She noted that the total area of agricultural land in the Mykolaiv region, which was flooded due to the explosion of the hydroelectric power station, was 909 hectares, as a result of which local farmers did not receive 22 million hryvnias.

«According to the blogger's preliminary calculations, losses were calculated and the amount of losses amounted to about 22 million hryvnias. These are the funds for the under-harvested harvest,» said Olena Piskun.

In addition to agricultural land, as a result of the accident at the Kakhovska HPP, 36,000 hectares of home plots (gardens) were flooded in the Mykolayiv region. 360 owners of such plots received compensation in the amount of 11.9 million hryvnias.

It will be recalled that the agricultural producers of the Mykolaiv region, who suffered losses after flooding as a result of an explosion at the Kakhovska HPP, received compensation from the state in the amount of 1.5 billion hryvnias.
