One of the leaders of the occupation of Mykolaiv region and Kherson region: the SSU announced suspicion against another Russian general in absentia

The Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of another Russian military official involved in the occupation of the Mykolaiv region. We are talking about the commander of the Ural District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Volodymyr Spyrydonov.
The text of the suspicion is published on the website of the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the case file, in 2022 he assumed the position of commander of the auxiliary control point «YUG» of the North Caucasus District in the Kherson direction.
The duties of the point under the command of Spiridonov included directing the actions of military units, collecting information in the relevant areas, reporting on the results of combat missions, managing the maneuver of forces and assets during changes in the situation.
In its area of activity there were 4 tactical groups, a special forces unit and an operational group:
- 12 separate special purpose unit — establishing control in Snihurivka and the village of Brativka in Bashtanka district with 8 checkpoints and two maneuver groups;
- the tactical group of the 94th regiment of the operational assignment — reconnaissance and intelligence work and illegal detention in the Beryslavskyi district;
- tactical group 146 of the special motorized regiment — establishment of control in Beryslav;
- tactical group 35 of a separate reconnaissance detachment;
- tactical group 145 of the special motorized regiment;
- operative group of the auxiliary control point of the group of troops (forces).
The actions of Volodymyr Spyrydonov led to the injuries and deaths of thousands of civilians, an economic and humanitarian blockade of the region, illegal detention and deprivation of liberty, illegal seizure of transport, detention of the local population, torture and murder.
He was notified in absentia of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — conducting aggressive military actions committed by a prior conspiracy of a group of persons. This involves 10 to 15 years of imprisonment.
We will remind, before this, suspicion was announced against the commander of the Southern District of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Ihor Turcheniuk, who in 2022 was one of the leaders of the occupation of Mykolaiv Region and Kherson Region.
