Little Zlata and her mother Alona do not have relatives in captivity, but every week mother and daughter join the families of prisoners in actions in support of the Ukrainian military in Russian captivity.
Alona told this to the correspondent NikVesti during another campaign that took place on Sunday, September 22.
«When we are in Mykolaiv, we try to go to events every week, because it is very important to support and shout about our boys. It is important to support their relatives, because people have already forgotten about the war and thanks to whom we still live under the Ukrainian flag,» said Alona.
The woman believes that society has stopped paying enough attention to the topic of Ukrainian prisoners of war. She says that such actions are important, because they remind the world about the torture of Ukrainian soldiers in Russian captivity.
«I came to the rally in support of the prisoners to support them,» Zlata added to her mother's comment.
Such promotions are held in Mykolaiv every week. At 12:00 p.m., at the intersection of Tsentralnyi Avenue and Mala Morska Street, across from the Azovstal graffiti, relatives of prisoners of war and simply caring residents of the city are gathering to once again remind society of the suffering of Ukrainian soldiers who have been in Russian captivity for more than two years.
Among the protesters are a large number of children who are waiting for their parents to be released from captivity.
«I dream of seeing my dad alive,» says the inscription on the poster in the hands of a little girl.
The organizers have prepared a box with posters for those who want to join the campaign. Anyone can choose a poster and join the protesters.
