«We are ready, I hope there will be no accidents,» Kim said about the start of the heating season in the Mykolaiv region

Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, announced that the region is ready for the start of the heating season. The heat will start when the average daily temperature stays at +8°C for three days.
Vitali Kim announced this on the air of the telethon Edyni Novyvy, they write NikVesti.
«We are waiting for the average daily temperature to be low for three days in order to start the heating. In principle, we are ready to do it. Last winter was warm and we turned on the heat later. I hope it will be the same this year. I hope that this time we will be without the accidents that we had this year. But, in principle, we are ready for the launch and will look at the temperature,» said the head of RMA.
Usually, the heating season in Ukraine begins in the second half of October. The decision to turn on the heating is made by local administrations when the average daily temperature remains at +8°C for three days.
Heating season-2024/25 in Mykolaiv?
During the conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Berlin in June 2024, the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych reported to the chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov, how the city is preparing for the start of the heating season.
Oleksii Chernyshov himself, in the comment NikVesti, promised to monitor that Mykolaiv CHP was ready for the heating season this year.
Later, the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said that at the start of the heating season in 2024, Mykolaiv CHP will take into account all last year's mistakes.
At the same time, it became known that the new heat network along Pohranychna Street in Mykolaiv will not have time to be built before the beginning of the 2024-2025 heating season due to a lack of funds. However, the director of Mykolaiv thermal power plant Dmytro Myroshnychenko assured that the workers will have time to complete these works.
Mykolaiv CHP plans to complete all work on replacing the worn networks by October 20.
The director of Mykolaivoblteploenergo Mykola Lohvinov said that the new tariff policy of the enterprise will provide for the introduction of a constant subscription fee throughout the year, and during the heating season, the population will have to pay additionally for the supply of heating medium to the residence.
The enterprise also emphasized the critically low level of preparation of networks of residential buildings by management companies. Only 8% of buildings received certificates of system readiness.
As of September 2, infrastructure facilities in the Mykolaiv region were 78% prepared for the new heating season. And at the end of September, Mykolaivoblteploenergo reported that it was 90% ready for the heating period.
