Mykolaiv region received 10 minibuses from Germany for children with special needs in schools

Schools in the Mykolayiv region will receive 10 Volkswagen minibuses for the transportation of children with special needs, which were donated by German partners.

This was announced by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim.

The buses are sourced from the state of Lower Saxony. Mykolaiv schools will receive four of them.

One car will be given to: Nova Odesa, Bashtanka, Novyi Buh, Voznesensk, Pivdennoukrainsk, and Pervomaisk communities.

The head of Mykolayiv RMA thanked the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stefan Weil, representatives of Volkswagen AG, leaders of the Order of Malta and the Hannover Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the assistance provided.

«I urge parents to make sure that children ride these buses, not school principals,» Vitaly Kim joked.

We will remind that 25 new buses were purchased in the Mykolayiv region within the framework of the «School Bus» state program.

Before that, in August , seven new school buses were handed over to four communities of the Mykolaiv region for students who need a ride.

During 2023, 44 school buses were purchased for Mykolaiv Oblast, one of them inclusive.
