70% of Ukrainians, among those who support the idea of negotiations to end the war, believe that EU countries should be the main mediators in these agreements.
This is evidenced by a Gallup survey conducted in August and October 2024 in Ukraine.
In addition to the European Union, 63% of respondents support Great Britain's participation in peace negotiations.
According to the study, in contrast to the EU and Great Britain, the role of the US has less support. Only about half of Ukrainians who are in favor of negotiations would like to see America as an active participant in this process.
In the survey conducted before the elections in the USA, no significant difference in views was found depending on who will be the president. We will remind that according to the results of the elections, Donald Trump was elected as the new president.
Gallup reported that in 2023 and 2024, part of the occupied territories were not included in the study due to the lack of coverage by Ukrainian mobile operators. These territories make up about 10-12% of the total population.
As previously reported, 52% of Ukrainians are in favor of a quick end to the war through negotiations. At the same time, 38% believe that Ukraine should continue to fight for victory.
