On Tuesday, November 21, due to Russian shelling, the Zaporizhzhia NPP is again on the verge of blackout.
This is reported by the Ministry of Energy.
It is noted that this happened for the second time in a week.
«As a result of enemy shelling, one of the two power lines of the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP was cut off. Currently, the station is connected to the Ukrainian power system by only one power transmission line,» the message reads.
It is indicated that in case of disconnection of the last line at the Zaporizhzhia station, another complete blackout will take place.
«Today in Vienna, a meeting of the Board of Governors of the IAEA will take place, and we insist on the immediate full implementation of the resolution on the return of the occupied station to the control of Ukraine. This is the only way to guarantee the safe operation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP,» said Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
Energy workers will start restoring full power to the station, which is the only way the security situation will allow.
We will remind that on November 16, one of the two power lines of the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP was cut off due to shelling by the Russians.
