The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) demonstrated the wreckage of the Russian Oreshnik missile, which Russian troops used to strike Dnipro on Thursday, November 21.
This is reported by «AR».
Charred, mangled wires and a missile body the size of a large tire are all that remain of the weapon, which can be equipped with both conventional and nuclear warheads.
«It should be noted that the remains of such a missile were discovered for the first time on the territory of Ukraine. That is, before that, the investigators of the Security Service did not document the specified object,» says an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The SSU also confirmed that the missile was launched from the Kapustyn Yar range in the Astrakhan region of Russia.
It is noted that the missile had six warheads, each of which carried six submunitions. Its maximum speed was Mach 11, and the flight time to the target was 15 minutes.
We will remind you that Vladimir Putin said that Russia struck the city of Dnipro with the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile, which is equipped with a non-nuclear hypersonic variant.
