The mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych met with representatives of the city of Honolulu to discuss future cooperation.

According to the mayor of the city, the areas of potential cooperation were thoroughly discussed at the meeting, namely: environment, green management and landscaping, development of critical infrastructure (water supply, energy).

«We also presented our achievements in cooperation with international partners. This is the Master Plan, the first international aid monitoring site, the Blue Economy concept, and, of course, the unique experience of working with the Kingdom of Denmark. This is something we are really proud of and once again proves that we are a reliable partner,» Oleksandr Sienkevych said.

The mayor of Mykolaiv is sure that the city will adopt the experience of Honolulu in various fields and we will be able to implement it in ourselves.

We will remind that in October, the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych together with the First Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands Karel Burger Dirven and the Chief Operating Director of DAMEN Holding B.V. Mark van Heiningen discussed the issue of Mykolaiv's maritime potential.
