Zelenskyy announced Ukraine's losses ten times less than Trump stated

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, released new data on the number of casualties among the Ukrainian military since the beginning of the full-scale war. He says that since then 43,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died in the war against the Russian Federation.

He wrote about this in social networks.

At the same time, it is also known about 370,000 cases of assistance to the wounded. According to Zelenskyy, 50% of the wounded return to the army.

«One of the key differences between the Russian army and the Defense Forces of Ukraine is the level of development of front-line medicine, which is much higher in our army,» says the president.

He said that since September 2024, Russia «is losing people on the battlefield in a ratio of 5 and even 6 to 1 in our country.» So now, they say, Russian losses exceed 750,000 people: 198,000 killed and more than 550,000 wounded. The General Staff of the Armed Forces provides the same data.

Zelenskyy also recalled the «thousands» of military and civilian Ukrainians in Russian captivity and Ukrainian children deported to Russia, of whom, according to the Russians themselves, there are hundreds of thousands.

«That's what this war is. It cannot be finished with just a piece of paper and a few signatures. And the suspended fire without guarantees can be rekindled at any moment, as Putin has already done. In order to guarantee that there will be no more losses of Ukrainian men and women, it is necessary to guarantee the reliability of peace and not close our eyes to the occupation,» the president wrote.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's publication of the number of losses was heard against the background of the statements of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, who said that Ukraine allegedly "senselessly lost 400,000 soldiers» in the war with Russia. Also, according to him, «about 600,000 Russian soldiers are lying wounded or killed in the war.»

It will be recalled that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the President of France Emmanuel Macron and the newly elected President of the United States Donald Trump in Paris.

The United States also allocated another package of military aid for Ukraine worth 988 million dollars. It will contain additional equipment, missiles and drones.
