American writer Stephen King said that US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk are traitors who support Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
He wrote about this on 20 February on the social network X.
The writer announced his withdrawal from this platform in November 2024, calling it toxic. This happened shortly after Donald Trump won the presidential election. However, three months later, he decided to return to criticise Trump and Musk.
«I'm back! Did you miss me? I just wanted to say that Trump is a traitorous, Putin loving dipshit! Goes double for Elon», Stephen King wrote.
His post is probably related to Donald Trump's recent statements about Russia's war against Ukraine. The US president argued that Ukraine «should not have started» the war and suggested that a peace could have been negotiated in three years. He also called his predecessor Joe Biden «a sleepy» and accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of incompetence, calling him «a dictator without elections».
In addition, Donald Trump said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy's approval rating was only 4% and called for elections. In response, the Ukrainian leader cited the results of a poll by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, according to which 57% of citizens trust him. Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the 4% claim Russian disinformation and noted that Donald Trump, «unfortunately, lives in this disinformation space».
After that, Donald Trump again criticised the Ukrainian president, saying that he refuses to hold elections.
