Elon Musk is an American businessman and billionaire born in 1971. He founded SpaceX, PayPal, Neuralink and The Boring Company, runs SpaceX and Tesla and owns the social network X. From 20 January to 30 May 2025 he served as Senior Advisor to US President Donald Trump and led the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In February 2026, Forbes named him the first person in the world worth more than $800 billion. In August 2026, Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Musk the Order of Freedom, and in October he was named to lead a Pentagon study on the weapons of the future.
