American billionaire Elon Musk said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin cannot lose the war against Ukraine. He also spoke against the adoption of a draft law on providing aid to Ukraine from the United States.

Bloomberg writes about this with reference to Musk's statement during the X Spaces forum.

Elon Musk has told Republican US senators there is «no way» Russian President Volodymyr Putin can lose the war in Ukraine, commenting on the conflict over the Starlink satellite services owned by the American billionaire.

Thus, he agreed with the comment of one of the speakers, who said that those who expect Ukraine's victory «live in a fantasy world.»

Opponents of the Senate bill, which provides for further assistance to Ukraine to continue the fight against the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation that began two years ago, took part in the discussion at the forum.

Elon Musk was joined at the forum by Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, JD Vance of Ohio and Mike Lee of Utah, as well as former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and David Sachs, co-founder of Craft Ventures LLC.

Musk also expressed hope that the Americans will contact their congressmen regarding assistance to Ukraine.

«These costs do not help Ukraine. Continuation of the war does not help Ukraine,» the American billionaire emphasized.

He also said he was sometimes accused of defending Putin, but called the accusation «absurd».

According to Musk, his companies «have probably done more to undermine Russia than anyone else».

According to the billionaire, Putin is being pressured to bring the war to an end because «if he backs down, he will be killed».

Elon Musk said that he is interested in «stopping the death of people on both sides of the war», but he does not think that this can be done by removing the head of the Kremlin.

«Those who want regime change in Russia should think about who is the person who can remove Putin, and will this person be a peacemaker? Probably not,» Musk noted, adding that such a person would likely be «even tougher than Putin».

It will be recalled that the American billionaire and inventor Elon Musk published a post on his X social network in which he tried to make fun of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. With this, he outraged netizens.
