Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 11 countries have sent Ukraine requests for help in intercepting and shooting down Iranian Shahed drones. Among them are the United States, European countries, and Iran's neighbours.
He said this during during a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
According to him, Ukraine has already responded to some of the requests with «specific decisions and support».
«There is clear interest in Ukraine's experience in protecting lives, relevant interceptors, electronic warfare systems, and training. Ukraine is ready to respond positively to requests from those who help us protect the lives of Ukrainians and the independence of Ukraine,» the president added.
He noted that the National Security and Defence Council, the General Staff and the Defence Forces will determine which requests Ukraine can still respond to without compromising its own defence capabilities.
«Ukraine's priority is clear: the Iranian regime must not gain any advantage over the defenders of life, and we must all work together to achieve tangible stabilisation both in the region and in global markets,» said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The President points out that Ukraine has long been proposing to its partners to join forces to defend against drones and missiles, as well as to destroy Iranian and Russian weapons production facilities. According to him, every Shahid production site is known.
We will remind you that on 3 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered Ukrainian interceptor drones to the Persian Gulf countries, but under certain conditions.
