The children will receive health treatment as part of a cooperation project between the municipalities of Mykolaiv and Montpellier.
This was announced by Yevhen Homoniuk, regional development manager at the Mykolaiv Development Agency, during a live broadcast, according to NikVesti.
Ten children will go on a health retreat this summer. They will spend two weeks in France.
«Last year, we already coordinated cooperation with our twin city, Montpellier. It is a French city. And as part of the «Solidarity Partnership» project with this city, we are currently preparing to form a group of children,» noted Yevhen Homoniuk.
He added that the project was made possible thanks to municipal cooperation and a memorandum of cooperation between the municipalities of Montpellier and Mykolaiv.
As a reminder, in Mykolaiv, the city budget will be able to cover the cost of sanatorium and resort treatment for 5–10 war veterans this year. At the executive committee meeting on 13 May, the procedure for reimbursing the cost of such trips was approved.
