In the Kobleve community, 70 people took part in the «Along the Tylihul Trails» eco-hike. Participants walked 15 kilometres, learnt more about the nature of the Lymany and the principles of responsible tourism.

The hike took place on 10 October. It was organised by the Centre for Resilience, the Department of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kobleve Village Council, and the municipal institution «Centre for Leisure and Personal Development». Children, young people and adults took part in the event.

During the hike, experts from the Tylihul Regional Landscape Park led an ecological tour. They introduced participants to the nature of the area near the estuary, including its flora and fauna.

According to the newspaper «Berezan», the tour included information about rare species of plants and animals, as well as the characteristics of steppe and coastal ecosystems. Participants were also taught the principles of responsible tourism to ensure that outdoor recreation does not harm the environment.

As well as providing environmental education, the hike aimed to help local residents take their minds off their daily worries. The organisers noted that joint outdoor activities are one way of providing psychological relief.

«Psychological relief can take many forms: sometimes it’s a chat with a psychologist, and sometimes it’s a few kilometres’ walk, good company and a snack in the great outdoors!» said representatives of the Resilience Centre.

Local organisations, conservationists and philanthropists joined in organising the hike. In particular, the «Rokada» Charitable Foundation provided the necessary hiking equipment, whilst specialists from Tylihulskyi Park helped to lead the excursion.

The Resilience Centre noted that such initiatives help to bring the community together, organise leisure activities for children and young people, and encourage them to explore the nature of their native region.
