The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, announced the reservation of 90% of the personnel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.
He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
«10% of the employees of the State Emergency Service have the choice to mobilize to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard or the State Border Service. 10% of the police officers who are subject to mobilization can join the «Rage» brigade or the three additionally created combat brigades of the National Police of Ukraine,» he said.
At the same time, he noted that according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the number of conscripted employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police, who are subject to reservation, may be more than 50% by a separate decision of the Minister of Defense, adopted on the basis of a substantiated appeal by the Minister of Internal Affairs. In this regard, an agreed decision was made to reserve 90% of the personnel of the State Emergency Service and the National Police.
«Regarding the rescuers: our position is that the employees of the operational response units (firemen, sappers, rescuers, chemists, engineers, etc.) should be fully booked. Therefore, this decision will not affect the promptness and efficiency of the State Emergency Service,» added Ihor Klymenko.
We will remind, at the meeting of January 16, the Cabinet of Ministers made changes to the reservation procedure for the mobilization of conscripted workers of enterprises of the defense-industrial complex.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture explained the reservation of culture and media workers from mobilization. The Directorate of Traveling Circuses and the Media are important to national security.
The government also extended for another two months the period of deferment from conscription for military service during mobilization, granted by the decisions of the Ministry of Economy.
