The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, said that the number of victims from the shelling of Mykolaiv on April 11 has become the largest since the end of 2022.
The head of Mykolayiv RMA said this on the air of the national telethon.
Vitalii Kim recalled that in the afternoon of April 11, the Russian occupying forces launched a rocket attack on Mykolaiv. As of the morning of April 12, five people were killed as a result of the shelling.
«Among the dead was an 18-year-old boy who was repairing a fence near the place of arrival. Died in the arms of his parents. Another six were wounded. In general, this is the largest number of victims since the end of 2022,» said Vitalii Kim.
In addition, commenting on the situation with electricity supply in the region, the head of RMA assured that what was damaged has already been restored, and specialists are working as usual. Along with this, Vitaly Kim advises residents to always have their devices charged, to carry out preventive maintenance of diesel generators and to check information about Unbreakable Points in their cities.
«We have had no shortage of alternative energy sources since 2022, when we experienced a blackout. We have it in sufficient quantity, but we hope that we can maintain the infrastructure so that the light is regular,» he added.
The latest shelling of Mykolaiv

As a result of the hit, probably by the «Iskander M» missile, there was a fire on the territory of the industrial infrastructure facility, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters. On March 25, Russian troops once again attacked the territory of Mykolaiv region. As a result of the impact of the enemy drone, the energy facility was hit.
Prior to this, the shelling of Mykolaiv took place in the afternoon of March 21 at around 2:25 p.m. Russian troops launched a missile attack on an object of industrial infrastructure. As a result of the impact, Olena Syvanych, the mother of the athlete, trampoline champion Svitlana Malkova, died, and 10 people were injured.
Four days before that, on March 17, Russian troops shelled Mykolaiv from installations located on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the head of the RMA Vitalii Kim, the police blocked the traffic in time because there could have been more victims. Utility workers immediately began working at the site of the shelling and eliminating the consequences of the attack.
